This is our home, and we love it. Known by some as “the skydiving capital of America", Perris is known for adventure, as well as being a wonderful place to call home.

 

We have many local opportunities for recreation. Lake Perris State Recreation Area provides the perfect place to spend a day camping or on the lake. Many love to take their boats or RVs here or to one of the many other surrounding recreational sites.

 

Making sure people can quickly get the proper registration and tags for their fun family trips is one of the most rewarding services we offer. We want you to be able to explore the mountains, canyons, lakes, and valleys that make our home so wonderful without having to put your trip on hold for hours at a DMV office to get the right paperwork.

 

There are hundreds of outdoor activities available locally. We love to see families bond while getting to experience the “great outdoors” in our peaceful, lovely valley.

 

Fun Facts about Our Home

Farmer Boys started their business here in 1981. The largest “trolley museum” on the West Coast, Orange Empire Railway Museum, is located at Pinacate Station. Perris Valley was first settled in the 1880s. The city of Perris itself was established in 1885 and officially incorporated in 1911. The area started out as a part of San Diego County but was transferred to Riverside County when it was created in 1892. The local climate is Mediterranean. Our summers are warm to hot and winters are cool – not cold. Local citizens have also learned to be ready in case of tornadoes.
